By decisions of the Polotsk District Executive Committee, two places for swimming in the summer season of 2026 were determined and assigned for improvement and maintenance to the Municipal Unitary Enterprise "Housing and Communal Services of Polotsk" - thisresting place on an artificial reservoir. Belchitsa, Polotsk district and a resting place on the left bank of the Western Dvina River in Polotsk.
The procedure for the maintenance and improvement of recreation areas on water bodies is regulated by the current sanitary standards and rules “Sanitary and epidemiological requirements for the maintenance and operation of territories”, approved by Resolution of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Belarus on 02.02.2023 No. 22.
During the swimming season, weekly monitoring of the sanitary condition of bathing places approved by the decision of the Polotsk District Executive Committee will be carried out, with laboratory monitoring of water quality according to standardized microbiological and sanitary-chemical indicators for compliance with the requirements of the hygienic standard “Drinking Water Safety Indicators”, approved by Resolution of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus dated January 25, 2021 No. 37.
