🔥Over the weekend, 2 forest fires and 1 dry vegetation fire were recorded in the Polotsk region.

📍The most common cause of fires is the human factor - careless handling of fire.

🧑🏻‍🚒To preserve forests and ensure the safety of yourself and others, you must follow some safety rules:

1️⃣Before going into the forest, always check the fire hazard class. Information about this is available on the interactive map of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and the website of the Ministry of Forestry.

2️⃣Lighting fires in the forest is allowed only in specially equipped areas. Violation of the law may result in administrative liability and a fine.

3️⃣If you decide to light a fire in the forest, you need to dig around the place. Make sure the fire is completely extinguished before leaving. To be safe, you can fill it with sand.

4️⃣Don’t throw away burning matches and cigarette butts.
