Bread is the greatest invention of man, dating back more than 10 thousand years. In Ancient Egypt, it was the only reward for work. Bread is the head of everything. It is impossible to imagine breakfast, lunch, or dinner without it.
Bread has great nutritional and medicinal value for humans. It contains proteins, fats, carbohydrates and other vital substances. With bread, a person satisfies 1/3 of the daily need for proteins and carbohydrates of plant origin. The daily norm for an adult is 350 grams. Bread proteins, especially rye and those made from low-grade flour, contain all the essential amino acids, without which life is unthinkable. In combination with animal products, bread allows for the best balance of amino acids, proteins, mineral salts and vitamins needed by the body. It contains vitamins B1, B2, PP, E and others. The body better absorbs the nutrients contained in white bread, but its nutritional value is much lower than bread made from wholemeal flour. Black bread contains significantly more proteins, mineral salts and vitamins. Constant consumption of only white bread leads to decreased motility of the digestive tract and metabolic disorders. However, peopleFor those suffering from inflammatory processes of the stomach and intestines, white bread is healthier.
Do not buy too much bread: from long-term storage it becomes stale, loses its taste, and may become moldy. Bread begins to stale after 10-12 hours of storage. It is recommended to store bread made from wallpaper flour for no more than 48 hours, bread made from high-quality flour - 24 hours, and bakery products - 16 hours, counting from the time of baking.
Storage rules:
- Store bread in special bread containers.
- Wash the container in which the bread is stored at least once a week with hot water and dry thoroughly.
- Store rye and wheat bread separately: white bread easily absorbs the smell of black bread and loses its taste.
- Bread stales more slowly if it is wrapped in clean paper or cloth.
Bread has one rare and very pleasant quality - it does not become boring. The poet M. Svetlov said well about this: “Every food, even the most delicious, has its own taste, but rye bread has a taste, but no aftertaste.”
