On March 26, 2025, at the state institution “Polotsk Zonal Center for Hygiene and Epidemiology” a career guidance meeting was held with students of 11 grades of the state educational institution “Secondary School No. 18 named after. E.Polotsk, Polotsk.”

Deputy Chief Physician Grechukha Yu.V., Head of the Hygiene Department Shcherbakova O.A. told the school students about the work of the Polotsk Zonal Center for State Health and the tasks performed by the state sanitary inspection service, about the work of the disease prevention center specialists and their performance of control and supervisory activities.

The students were given an excursion to the laboratory department, which includes a microbiological laboratory and a laboratory of sanitary-chemical and toxicological research methods, and were told about the work of a laboratory assistant.

Head of the Department of Hygiene for Children and Adolescents Soluyanova I.V. spoke about the conditions for admission to universities in the specialty of medical and preventive care when concluding a target agreement.
