Woman and...alcoholism. I don't want to believe this. For thousands of years, poets have sung the praises of a beautiful female figure. The exaltation of a woman, admiration for her is the most ancient tradition of painting, sculpture, and all art. But, sadly, we have to admit that drunkenness and chronic alcoholism have spread significantly among women.
Have you ever seen a woman suffering from alcohol addiction? If you had to, you will undoubtedly remember her appearance for a long time. Sloppy clothes, disheveled hair, a frail and emaciated body, a bent figure. The face, which was once sung by great poets, is sallow-gray, puffy, puffy, all wrinkled, bags under the eyes. Shaking hands. Movements are angular and abrupt. The voice is hoarse and barking. Not a pretty picture! Isn't it?
The most painful phenomenon in the structure of female alcoholism is its rapid rejuvenation. For young girls and women, the onset of drunkenness is typical under the influence of family or a group of peers (from 16 to 21 years old). For older people, the role of various unfavorable life factors increases: husband’s drunkenness, loss of loved ones, family breakdown.
Alcohol addiction in women has its own characteristics. There is probably not a single organ or organ system that is not damaged by alcohol.
It should be emphasized that the formation of alcohol dependence in women occurs much faster than in men, and is malignant. The clinical picture of the disease also progresses faster in women: the change from one stage to another, more severe one, occurs in a short time. Personality changes characteristic of alcohol dependence also occur earlier and are more pronounced. Such women are morally degraded, lead a frivolous lifestyle, sometimes make casual acquaintances, and sexual promiscuity combined with drunkenness is a sure way to contracting sexually transmitted diseases.
Women suffering from alcohol addiction quickly lose their attractiveness and become decrepit. Pregnancy in those who still retain the ability to bear children is difficult, and premature birth and stillbirth are often observed.
The formation of healthy morality and the psychophysiological health of our children depends on the moral and physical health of women.
I would like to first of all address young women who already have or will soon have children. If you didn’t know the taste of alcohol, remain in this wonderful ignorance for the rest of your life. If your hand reaches for a glass of vodka, a glass of wine - stop, don’t ruin yourself!
Do you really want to lose your health, grow old prematurely, lose your femininity, and cause irreparable damage to the morality and health of your children, who have already come into this world or future ones? Tell yourself no! Say “no” to the evil spirit of imaginary, illusory pleasure and very real evil. One should never lose hope of getting rid of this defect; it will come with the sincere desire of the patient herself. The sooner treatment is started, the sooner a positive effect will be achieved. But the most important thing is a persistent desire to give up this addiction and strong willpower.
